job I applied for! I had to move an hour from my home, but I truly was blessed with an
amazing Child Life team to work with and learn from. Since most of my Child Life team
was also teaching part time at various colleges, I looked into local opportunities and was
again lucky enough to get an offer to start teaching that fall, so within a few months of
one another, I was on the road to being in both of the careers that I knew I would love,
and was equally blessed when budget issues began to arise in my Child Life program and
I was able to pick up an extra class or two to cover expenses. I fell into each of these
opportunities fairly quickly and didn’t realize how blessed I really was until I made the
decision to move away.With my part time teaching career in full swing, I decided to work towards my PhD, and
